Blue Waffle Surface Pattern Design | Annie C Designs

Blue Waffle

I spent this morning painting the rails on our deck. I only got one of the three sides done before I had to move on with the rest of my day. I couldn’t believe how long it took to paint all of those little rails. We’re using this textured deck restoring paint that is kind of like applying wet sand to the rails. Only two more sides to go…and some little parts I need a ladder for that I didn’t want to do when I was home alone.

This seems like a good pattern to introduce to you today. This is Blue Waffle:

When I was looking through my designs today, I thought, “Oh, man. Painting all of those little squares would be a major pain if they were real little boxes.” I wouldn’t have thought that had I not spent the morning painting, but still, it made this one stand out today.
