Reinforcement Surface Pattern Design | Annie C Designs

I hope all of you had a fabulous Independence Day. Ours was not too exciting. We watched some baseball, and listened to a million firecrackers going off in our neighborhood. Also, I got stung by a wasp on Saturday night. Right under my eyebrow. It hurt so much! It didn’t look too bad yesterday, but when I got up today (Monday) my eye was almost swollen shut. It is also starting to itch. Bugs and I do not get along.

This pattern has nothing to do with bugs. It is actually inspired by those little sticker rings you put around the holes on notebook paper to repair the holes, or keep them strong in the first place. This is Reinforcement:

I used one of the colors from Pantone’s Fall 2016 Color Report: Sharkskin. I like this cool gray color quite a bit.

Cut-and-sew patterns, like the snazzy shirt above, are available from Sprout Patterns. This shirt is a new pattern on Sprout—it can be customized with different sleeve lengths and neck styles. It is designed especially for sizes 12-28. Yay!

Furniture, kitchen linens, and pillows can be found in my Roostery shop.

Until next time,
