A Couple of Pastel Patterns

As the title of this post indicates, I have a couple of surface pattern designs with pastel colors to share with you today.

This is Peachy Arrows:

Peachy Arrows was inspired by Pantone’s Color of the Day on February 10 of this year. Peach. It is not one of my favorite colors, and at any given moment I could call almost any color a favorite. I don’t know why peach doesn’t appeal to me. I like to eat peaches, but peaches aren’t really that peachy, color wise—they are a beautiful combination of golden yellows, rich oranges, and deep reds. Adding the light blue to this pattern made me happier with using peach.

My second pastel pattern is the rather wordy Robin’s Egg & Lavender Rounded Squares:

The name pretty much says it all on this one, though there are some dark gray lines and points in the design that I didn’t manage to cram into the title. While I am usually drawn to big, bold designs, I am trying to create more patterns that are a smaller scale and a bit more delicate. I don’t have a ton of these designs yet, but I’m working on it.
