I have posted a bunch of new designs to my shops. I picked out a few to share with you here. There is really no rhyme or reason to these, I just randomly picked five from the “Blog this” folder on my desktop.
This is Orange Coneflowers:
This design was inspired by my backyard. We’ve added a lot of coneflowers to our yard over the past few years, and in the late summer, it is coneflower city back there. I took a picture of a single bloom and did a very basic outline of it in Illustrator. It is kind of abstract, and I like it that way! The flowers turned into bursts as I played with them.
Jagged Stripes is up next:
This one is pretty much what the title says: choppy, pointy, jagged stripes in mustard, rusty brown, light blue, and brick.
Snowflakes is an icy little polka dot-style pattern:
This one is called Octo Trio:
This one is all about combining colors. When cyan and magenta come together, they make blue. I overlapped cyan and magenta octagons in this design, and where the octagons meet, they make that lovely purple.
Finally, I have Trees in the Fog:
This one reminds me of trips to the Rocky Mountains, with evergreen trees poking out through foggy skies. The different shades of green in this one form a diagonal stripe through the pattern.
