Spoonflower Design Challenge: Geodesic Lines

This week’s Spoonflower Design Challenge theme is Geodesic. Geodesic shapes look like they are curved, but they are made up of straight lines. Here is my design, cleverly titled Blue Geodesic Lines:

All straight lines creating round pools between those God’s Eye-ish shapes. Yay!

This design goes back to drawings I used to make when I was a kid. Back then, I didn’t have Illustrator to make my lines exact, so my ruler and pencil drawings could end up a little wonky, but they looked something like this:

I drew a lot of these and colored them in all sorts of ways. For my design for this challenge, I removed the grid lines and used shades of blue to fill in the shapes. I find it very relaxing.

Like last week, there is a contest with this challenge. Head over to Spoonflower to vote for your favorites! Thanks!

Until next time,
Annie
