Abstract Carrots Surface Pattern Design | Annie C Designs

Abstract Carrots

This design goes back to March of last year, when I was doing Spoonflower’s Design-a-Day Challenge. I created an abstract design inspired by a bag of multi-colored carrots. I returned to that design recently and made a few revisions to come up with something that I really like. This is the new Abstract Carrots:

The biggest change I made from my original design was to drop the white triangles from the design. Even though there were white carrots in my bag, they stood out too much from the other colors. I also dropped the darkest purple carrots for the opposite reason—they didn’t stand out enough. I rearranged the remaining three colors to scatter them about a bit more and…ta-da! Abstract Carrots!

Until next time,
Annie
