I love a limited color palette assignment. I think the color restriction takes me back to my more business-y graphic design life where I had to work within a brand’s color scheme and identity. Plus, a whole bunch of designers using the same colors means a lot of different interpretations that will all work together in a quilt (or some other project). Yay!
For Spoonflower’s Winter Mod Limited Color Palette Design Challenge, we designers were given a palette of five colors (plus black and white) to create a “winter wonderland using sleek abstract shapes…inspired by the coldest time of the year.” I came up with Sunny Day, Snowy Day:
